The wine is dark purple with fresh attractive aromas of violets, plum and raspberry. It’s velvety, fresh and with great balance, but with serious and powerful tannins and a very fine acidity.
Product Description
Winemaking:
Maceration in stainless steel “Lagares” and vats with temperature control at 28-30ºC. Bottled 2 years after picking, after being aged for one year in old barrels.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Tinta Roriz,Touriga Franca
Tasting Notes:
The wine is dark purple with fresh and attractive aroma of violets, plum and raspberry. It’s a velvety wine, well balanced but with serious and powerful tannins and fine acidity. A serious Port, fresh and well balanced that could only be from the Pinhão valley.
Store and Serve Advices:
Should be opened two hours before serving and decanted. Serve between 17º and 18º C. Store the bottle on its side, in a cool, dry and dark place.
Food Pairing:
Vintage Ports are after meal drinks. Take them with cheese like Stilton or Gorgonzola. But you can also incorporate them into a meal, combining for instance a Steak au Poivre with a young Vintage.
